Popular Detox Tea Recipe: Turmeric Ginger Detox Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric or 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups water
  • A pinch of black pepper (optional, enhances turmeric absorption)

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add Ginger and Turmeric: Add the sliced ginger and turmeric to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain: Remove from heat and strain the tea into a mug, discarding the ginger and turmeric pieces.
